Do you do piercing?
No. We do not have a piercing specialist. We can refer you to a quality piercing establishment if you like.
Do I need an appointment?
Because we are a small artist run studio we prefer appointments. However, we happily accept walk-ins on a first come first serve basis if time permits. Feel free to call (330) 346-0656 and we can let you know availability before you venture out.
Do you take appointments over the phone?
No, and Yes. We DO NOT take appointments for tattoo work over the phone. We DO take appointments for free consultations over the phone. It's a great way to set aside time to talk about your tattoo one on one.
How do I make an appointment?
After your consultation we can schedule your appointment in person. We do require a $60 cash deposit for all appointments.
Do you have a shop minimum?
Yes. The shop minimum is $60. The minimum price is based of an estimate of cost of supplies + how much time is generally used. Please note that the minimum will be increasing to $80 January 1, 2018.
What is the Deposit for?
The deposit holds your appointment space. It is deducted from the final price of the tattoo. If your tattoo costs $100 then you would only owe the remainder of $40 when we finish the tattoo. If your tattoo requires more than one session to complete the deposit is deducted from the last session.
Is the Deposit refundable?
No, the deposit is non-refundable.
Can I reschedule my appointment if I am unable to make it?
Yes, you can reschedule your appointment and your deposit will be safe and sound as long as you let us know at least 48 hours in advance.
What type of identification is required?
Any government issued form of I.D. is accepted provided it has the owners photo, name and birth date clearly visible on it. ie: drivers license, passport, state I.D.
Can minors get a tattoo?
Unfortunately NO. It's our shop policy that you must be 18 years old to get a tattoo. Trust us... its not that long to wait and you'll probably be glad you did.
Can I take/drink "something" before my procedure to make it hurt less?
NO. Despite what friends or the anxiety in your head is telling you it will not make it better or hurt less. In reality it will be quite the opposite and we do not condone it. If we think something is a bit off about your demeanor we can refuse to tattoo you and you may lose your deposit. For the best outcome show up for your appointment well fed and well rested. Soda pop and a sandwich really are the best painkillers of all.
What does 100% disposable mean?
Many tattoo shops clean and sterilize stainless steel tattoo tubes (the part that contains the needles and is in direct contact with ink and body fluids) in an autoclave for reuse. Although it is much more expensive than the reusable stainless steel version, we choose to use only single-use gas sterilized prepackaged tubes from a reputable domestic supplier for two reasons. First, in order to be sure an autoclave is working properly a spore test needs to be done. There is roughly a week of time between when the test is sent out and results delivered. We don't feel it is responsible to use any items where there is a question of whether the device responsible for sterilizing them is working properly or not. Secondly, we believe that the process of scrubbing and sterilizing stainless steel tubes covered in bio-hazardous materials yields too high a risk for blood-borne pathogens to be transferred to other surfaces as well as clients and artists. We prefer to simply use it once and dispose of it. Safer for everyone.
